The Construction Stage |
Construction of the Health Centre, where the nurse and other health practitioners provide services to the community members of Lasqueti, including a respite area. Nearly one million dollars of labour and materials has been put into building the Judith Fisher Centre.
The vast majority of the labour that went into the building of the Judith Fisher Centre was donated by Lasqueti Islanders of all ages. This is truly our community's Centre, built by the loving hands of the community. Volunteers came out in all kinds of weather and worked together in harmony.
The Service Building:
A few images from the construction of the Service Building. This houses all the equipment needed to power the Judith Fisher Centre including solar panels on the roof, an extensive bank of batteries, our wood-fired boiler system, and much more.
